Hijab ( Arabic : حجاب , veil) is a word in Arabic Which Means " barrier " , the word " hijab " More often refers shown to veil which was used by Muslim women . But the hearts of Islamic scholarship , hijab is more appropriate to refer to the appropriate dressing procedures in accordance with the guidance of religion .
Command Aaccording to Islamic Hijab
Al Quran surah Al - Ahzab : 59 and An- Nur : 31 mentioned the obligation of Muslim women use the hijab :
" O Prophet , tell your wives , your daughters and wives of the believers: " Let them garments over their bodies " . That is so they are easier to be recognized , therefore they are not disturbed . And Allah is Forgiving , Merciful . ( Al - Ahzab : 59 ) "
Then in Surat an - Nur verse 31 :
" ... And let them cover with cloth crippled his chest ... ( An Nuur : 31 )
Criteria hijab Right
According to Muhammad Nasir Al Albany criteria of the veil is right let cover the entire body , except the face and the palms , the veil is not an ornament , not thin , the material is not transparent , not tight to reveal body shape , not sprayed with perfume , does not resemble the clothing of men or women clothing infidels and not the clothes themselves to seek popularity.
